tttttYoung Patriots was once a VISTA project in Appalachia. A VISTA strategic goal was to subliminally organize the Appalachians for much needed well digging. Inhabitants were organized. They did all the labor.
Some Appalachians moved to Chicago where they formed a poor white street gang that committed armed robberies.
The leader of the young lords accidently blew off his hands in Chicago when a wire short circuited without secure tape adhesion. in the late 60s these hoodlum gangs were taken over by radical college educated activists.
